The Investor Portal is what investors and prospects will use to view your Offerings and manage their investments. You control who has access, but your objective should be to enable all valid contacts - both prospects and existing investors - so that they are actively using the Investor Portal.

You have the option of approving each access request or allowing any user with a confirmed email to access your portal. You can manage this setting in your Investor Portal Settings. This article has more information.

Individual access to the Investor Portal is supported in the Contacts section of the Groundbreaker Platform. To access the pages where you manage portal access:

=> Select Menu from the Home Dashboard

=> Select Contacts

=> Click on a contact name

The overview page for that contact includes their Portal Access Status.

This page is where you manage the contact’s Investor Portal Status.

Portal Access Status

Each contact has a Portal Access Status. The possible values are:

  • Active - Contact has been approved and has access to the portal

  • Awaiting Activation - Contact has been invited but has not yet logged in

  • Denied - Contact has been denied access to the portal

  • Inactive - Contact has been deactivated and no longer has access to the portal

  • No Access - Contact has not been invited and has not requested access

  • On Hold - Contact has requested portal access and is on hold

  • Pending - Contact has requested access to the portal and is not yet approved

  • Unconfirmed - Contact has requested access but has not confirmed their email

Portal Invite

When you create a contact directly, the Portal Access Status defaults to No Access. They cannot access the Investor Portal until you specifically invite them. You can choose to invite the contact by clicking Send Portal Invite.

This will generate an email to the contact’s email address and their status changes to Awaiting Activation. Once the contact receives the email and sets their password via the link provided, their status becomes Active.

Portal Requests

When your portal setting requires manager approval for access requests, contacts who have requested access from the Investor Portal link show as Pending and will not have access to the portal until you approve them.

Once approved the Contact’s status changes to Active.

Portal Status Filtering

Filtering your list of contacts is useful when you are reviewing which contacts may require action to enable their access. You can filter your contacts based on their Investor Portal Access status.

From your Contacts list, click on Portal Status and choose the value on which to filter.
